Where did the summer go?
Time is weird. Months just seem to fly by. After the 4th of July, I feel like the summer is already ending. In the last few months, I have been busy working on orders, and busy preparing for and participating in festivals, like Cantigny Art in Bloom Festival in Wheaton, Illinois and Geekfest in Peoria, Illinois. I have also been creating small pieces of art to sell at local shops like, Relics in Peoria. I am currently working on a new series of bookmarks, a set of small pieces, and lots of new large pieces for my next shows. I am looking forward to each show and will continue to create, create, create.
My next art event will be in 2 weekends in Washington, Illinois at the Washington Arts Festival. I am looking forward to this festival since it's right down the road from Chillicothe. The last 2 shows we were in were a few hours away. It is always nice to have a short ride home after a day in the sun. Also my parents live in Washington which will make this festival even better. (Although my parents go to almost everything that I participate in because they are the best <3)
After that I might participate in the local market but I am already looking forward to a break which will come in September when we head off to Wisconsin to fish and relax in our cabin. I am ready to unwind, read a few books, and catch a bunch of crappie. After a short week away, I will be ready to head home and start creating new pieces of collage art. If you are interested in coming to see me and all my art babies, check out my upcoming events for more information or feel free to send me a message.
I hope you all get to enjoy the rest of your summer....but get ready....fall is coming. Truly the best time of the year. :D
